Phoenix wedding photographers celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends

On Thanksgiving day, we headed over to my Dad’s house in Mesa to have Thanksgiving dinner. It was so nice outside that we decided to set up folding tables on the back porch and have our meal out there. The food was delicious! After dinner, I set up the tripod so we could get a nice group shot with everybody together.

And in keeping with Thanksgiving tradition, we spent the last part of our evening relaxing in front of the TV watching football.

And a Happy Thanksgiving was had by all!

Phoenix wedding photographers observe sacred pre-Thanksgiving tradition

Every year, Ryan and I observe our own little pre-Thanksgiving holiday tradition to get us both in the mood for “Turkey Day”. We pull out all ten seasons of “Friends” and watch all the Thanksgiving themed episodes in one night. Every season has one (except for season two, which we’ve always thought was a little weird), so that works out to be about three and a half hours of hilarious, Thanksgiving-themed, “Friends” goodness! This year, Ryan had to work on Wednesday night so we didn’t even start our marathon until about midnight. (Of course, lining up all the discs and taking pictures certainly didn’t help to speed things along either, ha ha ha!) Anyhow, i fell asleep about six episodes in, but as usual, Ryan was a trooper and stayed up to watch them all! Now that’s commitment!

Phoenix Wedding Photographer shoots puppy portraits at Tempe Town Lake.

This past Sunday I joined my friend Jane at Tempe Town Lake to take some portraits of her dog Lucy. Shooting pets is always a bit of a challenge, since you can’t exactly sit them down and ask them to pose (well, not any pet I know at least). So we mostly just took a nice walk around at Tempe Beach Park. Lucy was a really good sport. In a park full of kids, interesting smells and other distractions, she was a very good girl! We were even able to let her off the leash for a while and play with a tennis ball. Bribing her with treats was helpful of course, although I’m fairly sure it spoiled her dinner!
