Earl & Nicole Guest Book

We just finished the design on Earl & Nicole’s guest book album.  This super fun engagement shoot took place back in June on a day trip to Sedona.  (Click here to check out more photos from their session.)  We were so happy with the way their album turned out we just had to share it with the world!

Their album is a great example of what our guest book designs look like.  Each page (except the first and last) is a two page spread which includes photos from the couple’s engagement session with plenty of space left for their guests to write them advice and personal messages on the day of their wedding.  Normal guest books get used once after the big day (to write thank you cards) and then they are usually stashed away in a box somewhere.  With a custom photo guest book design, your guest book can be a wonderful keepsake to cherish for years to come.  You’ll want to take it off the shelf over and over again to share photos from your e-session and to remember all the wonderful words of wisdom and love left by your guests on your special day!

CLICK HERE to view a slide show of the entire design.  Keep in mind, this album will be printed as a 10″ x 10″ coffee table style book so all the images will be A LOT bigger in real life!

Thanks Earl & Nicole for being such great subject matter!  Can’t wait to be a part of your big day!

Amy’s Baby Shower

 Amy’s Baby Shower

Yesterday, I shot a baby shower for one of my favorite clients – my sister Amy :-)  She’s due to deliver our first little niece in September and Ryan and I could not be more excited about it!  One of Amy’s good friends Corina, hosted the shower on Saturday at the Claim Jumper Restaurant in Tempe.  Probably the largest baby shower I’ve even been too, the group pretty much filled up the private party room.  Here’s a shot of the room before all of the guests had even arrived yet.

The gals did a wonderful job of organizing and decorating for the celebration.  Here are a few of the fun details!  Everything they used for decor where items that she can use when the baby comes.

Amy loves turtles so the diaper/turtle toy center pieces were especially appropriate :-)

Loved the purple flowers – and the fact that the vases were baby bottles off of Amy’s registry!  So clever :-)

Some happy party guests . . .

And what baby shower would be complete without a couple of cute babies?  These kids got passed around so much I’m still not really sure who they belong too!

Here’s the Mommy to be getting ready to open gifts – doesn’t she have that adorable “pregnant woman glow”?  She looks so happy :-)

So cute!!! Notice the turtle theme?

Apparently the “Diaper Genie” is a MUST HAVE new mommy gift.  Gotta love Amy’s reaction to the cheering and applause of all the experienced mommies in the room.  Who knew something with the word diaper in it could be such a crowd pleaser?

And last but not least, MY favorite baby gift - tiny pink Cros!

They’ll match Amy’s perfectly . . .

Loving that baby belly!

Thanks to everyone for creating such an awesome shower for my beautiful sister!  And to that little girl in there – we can’t wait to meet you, but you’re not allowed to be born until I get to feel you move!  (She’s always quiet when I’m around - so stubborn already!  Guess it runs in the family, ha ha ha!)

Earl & Nicole

Happy 4th of July Everybody!  It’s been a crazy week so this is the first chance I’ve had to post about the awesome engagement shoot we did last weekend.

Last Saturday, Ryan and I headed up to Sedona to shoot with Earl & Nicole.  Unfortunatly for us, it was only about 5 degrees cooler up there so heading north was really no relief from the OVER 110 degree weather :-(  Despite the heat, this couple was great to work with and we came away with some amazing shots.

Earl & Nicole will be having their wedding at The Secret Garden in October.  They split their time between Surprise and Prescott, so they’ve been coming to Sedona for years to enjoy the red rocks and amazing views.  They even named their puppy “Sedona”, so of course it made the perfect back drop for their engagement photos.  We had SO much fun spending the day with these guys!  They are such cool, easy going people and we all hit it off the very first time we met.  Earl is a freelance travel writer so he had already scoped out some great spots for us to explore.

It was honestly really hard to choose favorites for this post – I loved so many of the shots!

Ryan laid on the burning hot pavement for about 5 minutes to get this next shot!  I think Earl and Nicole thought he was a little crazy, but what can I say – great photos are worth a few 3rd degree burns.

One of the locations we shot at was a place called Talaqapaque.  It’s a cool little arts and crafts village with awesome Spanish architecture and tons of neat nooks and crannnies – great for shooting a couple in love!

Grabbed this one in a cool little cafe where we had smoothies and appetizers after a long day of shooting.
