Last Saturday Ryan and I met up with Christina & Cory in downtown Phoenix to shoot their engagement session.  They are getting married in February at the Japanese Friendship Garden.  We had such a fun afternoon running around downtown and shooting with this fun loving couple!  We really got a chance to see their silly side!  They even brought along some fun props to show off in their engagement photos.  Love it :-)  Here’s a few of our favorites:

We started off the session at the Arizona Science Center . . .

Then on to some smoochin’ in the grass :-)

Downtown is full of fun backdrops, but these awesome yellow doors were probably my favorite.

When we were talking about what they wanted for their session, Cory & Christina told us that they really wanted their photos to be fun and show off their personalities. I think this one says it all :-) Hilarious!

Christina was such a good sport too! She took off her high heels to make this leap, but the concrete is no fun in bare feet! She was a total trooper though :-)

Cory & Christina have such a fun proposal story! They have season tickets to the Suns (yes, we’re SO jealous), so last Valentine’s day he proposed on the big screen during a game! He had these awesome custom jerseys made to commemorate the event. So of course, we just had to stage a little reenactment in front of US Airways Center . . .

I think Cory was just glad he wasn’t stuck kneeling between a row of seats this time!

Christina was in shock when Cory came up with this next pose . . .

We took quite a few variations of this shot – it was awesome and especially hilarious from our view!  I’m not sure who was laughing harder – them or us!

Being the loyal Arizona sports fans that they are, they also had to show a little love to the red birds . . . I super love their expressions in this one :-)  So Cute!

Another BRILLIANT prop idea . . .

We closed out the evening with dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe, where they had their very first date.  We always have so much fun doing engagement sessions in locations that really mean something to the couple. Makes it all so much more personal and gives us such great insights into who they are.

We snagged this one on our way to dinner. Love the city lights and traffic in the background . . .

To Christina & Cory: we had so much fun laughing and enjoying the day with you!  It was so great having the chance to get to know you both and we can’t wait to be a part of your wedding!

These are so fun! My favorite is the night shot. I’m a sucker for lit up buildings. Something about it makes me think big city. Anyway, great shots as always! It looks like they will have a fun wedding.
