A Little Silliness :-)

September 30, 2009

Another photographer friend of ours posted this video on Facebook the other day and I just thought is was far too hillarious not to share. It’s actually a deleted scene from the movie “I Love You Man”. Very funny stuff so check it out!

Shooting with is us is . . . well, nothing like this actually, but it’s funny stuff none the less :-) Have a great week everybody!

Last Saturday, we had the opportunity to photograph Bianca and John’s wedding at the Sheraton Crescent hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. I have to say, we had so much fun hanging out with these two! We had such a great time from the very beginning of the day until the time they went back up to their suite. When we arrived Bianca was as calm as could be putting on her makeup and straightening her hair. She was one of the most stress free brides. :-)

We thought this was really cute . . . Denise stayed with Bianca and I went to go shoot the guys getting ready. The funny thing is we both got simillar shots sneaking around the corner.

Bianca was such a beautiful bride. Denise ROCKED this shot! I love it.

John was waiting in anticipation to see Bianca for the first look. hehehe, this is always one of my favorite parts of the day.

Tadah!

This next moment happened so quick and I didn’t want to miss it. I knew that I didn’t have enough time to bring my ten pound zoom lens up to my face in time. I also knew that I had a good exposure set in my camera so I just hit the focus button and fired without looking . . . nailed it!

We both think that John looks like a young Tom Cruise. Yes/No?

One of the really cool things about their wedding was that John had two best men. This is Clay, who was not only a best man, but he also was the officiant. They joked about how he was their “Joey” from Friends.

This photo is so sweet because you can see Bianca’s mom in the background looking up at John, probably thinking, “this is the perfect man for my little girl”

MARRIED!!!

After the ceremony was over, all the guys pulled out their cigars and started having some fun. I love that Bianca got in on this shot. :-)

After taking them around the hotel for some portraits after the ceremony, we decided to head up their room and grab a few more gorgeous photos before the reception began.

They had a HUGE balcony overlooking the city of Phoenix. They were having so much fun. (So were we) hehehe.

We were just about ready to head down to the reception when Bianca came up with the brilliant idea of taking some shots in their giant bathtub. We thought this was so adorable.

The first dance. Music and Entertainment was provided by Mark Sanchez of PME, Professional Mobile Entertainment

Funny story: The “Garter Toss” started like it usually does. Right before the DJ calls all the single guys up to the dance floor, Bianca sits alone in the middle of the stage with her new hubby John next to her. Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” started to play from the DJ’s booth and then things got interesting. John was blindfolded and Bianca was replaced in the chair by the aforementioned best man/officiant Clay. Bianca removed the garter and placed it on Clay’s leg. The reactions from the crowd and from John and Bianca after he took off the blindfolded was priceless.

This goes out to the Bride and Groom: Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time with both of you. You were so calm and relaxed all day. Your friends and family were so sweet to us as well. It makes our jobs so easy when we have couples like you who have everything under control and are stress free all day long. All the best to you and your families. We wish you a lifetime of happiness.

The night before Dasia & Scott’s big day, Ryan and I had a blast hanging out with them and their familes for the rehearsal dinner.  I know, I know,  it’s wierd that we’re posting these AFTER their wedding photos.  What can I say?  Last week was a little crazy for us and I kinda figured they were a bit more anxious to see their wedding photos, but it was such a fun night we just couldn’t help sharing a few.

We started out at the Biltmore for a little practice run.  Great shot of proud papa Lionel and the gorgeous bride waiting to walk down the isle.

Not only did her dad walk Dasia down the isle, but he also performed their ceremony.  Looks like they’re all having a pretty good time up there!

One of my favorite parts of the evening was the ride to dinner after the rehearsal.  They rented a super fun party bus, compelete with dancing poles, to transport the whole group!

Everybody got in on the action!  Hillarious!

Dinner took place at Sushi Roku located in the W Hotel in Scottsdale.  Stylish and super chic – a perfect fit for this bride & groom!

Seriously!  They were such a fun group!

The decor at the W was really awesome and full of color.  We just had to steal Dasia & Scott away for a few quick photos.

The rest of the night was full of fun . . .

Lots of photos . . .

Plenty of laughter . . .

And a good amount of silliness too!

Thanks for letting us be a part of it you guys!
